The gay mystery writer you should be paying attention to, if you're a fan of noir, taut prose?
His name is Marshall Thornton, and he's the latest name on the "Authors Cindy is going to relentlessly promote until you all read him and agree that he is, indeed, the bees-freaking-knees." It is no stretch at all to compare him to Joseph Hansen, and verily, we loves us some Joseph Hansen in these parts. |

How does one go about acquiring his books? All I can find on Amazon are Kindle versions. Is he out of print?
He has one, called Boystown, coming out from Torquere in a few days. I just today read the review copy and am, frankly, blown away. I've tried to make his acquaintance on FB so I can discover what his backlist looks like, and as soon as I find that out, I will let you know. (Boy, that sentence sounded dirty, but you know what I mean!)
Also, icon love: I want wristies now!
Cool - I love me some noir. :)
I hate to sound so lazy, but if you do find his backlist and it's a linkable list, can you post it here? I have to buy books right away and add them to my "unread" folder, otherwise in a month or three I'll be asking myself, what were those books I meant to buy? Who was that author I wanted to look up? My mind, it's like a sieve these days. *g*
I will :-) Maybe in a separate post so we don't have to dig through comments!
Hi. :) Yes, please relentlessly promote because maybe I can buy his story or tell one of the other reviewers from Out In Print to get it. That might be best since I read so slowly. But, yeah, when something new is available (electronic or print, but not Kindle), please let us know. :) | |
